BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Acting as a business partner and independent verifier for a new coal fired power station (Kogan Creek) to ensure welding of (pressure) pipe work complies with relevant (Australian) standards and regulations.
SOLUTION
Use of local qualified technical inspectors to verify the installation of pipe work at the construction site. During this installation, work comprised of third party inspections to verify the results of the non-destructive tests, review of quality documentation for the erection, and the witnessing of (successful) hydrostatic pressure tests. After installation, a “certificate of compliance" was be issued for each piping system, confirming all requirements as per the design standard had been fulfilled.
